As Lynwood Unified embarks on developing its Facilities Master Plan, the District is hosting a community forum on Tuesday, August 27 to gather feedback on plans for facilities to ensure schools continue to serve as safe, modern, and inspiring environments for students and staff.
Students, families, staff, and community are invited to participate in one of two forums – scheduled for 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the District Office – where attendees will hear from District officials on the current condition of buildings and receive a comprehensive overview of the infrastructure. Attendees will be able to share their thoughts on how the District should prioritize upgrades and improvements to better meet the needs of students and staff.
This feedback will play a crucial role in shaping Lynwood Unified’s Facilities Master Plan, which will outline future educational program opportunities and identify the necessary facilities and infrastructure investments for the next five to seven years.
For those unable to attend the forum, the District will provide an online survey link following the event, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute their feedback.
“We believe that the voice of our community is essential in shaping the spaces where our students learn, grow, and thrive,” Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Gretchen Janson, Ed.D., said. “This forum is an opportunity for everyone to be part of the conversation about the future of our school facilities. We look forward to working together with our community to create a better learning environment for all.”
