Harris
Dear Lindbergh Families,

Welcome back to the 2024-25 school year! I am thrilled to be starting this new school year with all of you.

During last school year we excelled together as a CA Platinum PBIS school, increased our academic performance on assessments, placed in some amazing competitions, and worked together to ensure a safe environment for our school community.

This year, we will focus on strengthening relationships between staff, students, and parents. We are committed to increasing parent participation on campus. We know that parents play a vital role in their children's education, so we will be hosting more family-friendly events, providing opportunities for parents to volunteer on campus, and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Attendance is also essential for student success, so we will be emphasizing that all students attend school regularly. Our Multi-Tiered systems of support centers on academic interventions, small group instruction, and after-school programs.  We know that all students can learn, but some students need extra support to reach their full potential.

Finally, socio-emotional support for students is also essential to their development. We know that students cannot learn if they are not feeling safe and supported. We will be offering a variety of socio-emotional support services, such as mediation groups, community schools services, Health Collaborative (Therapy services),  and peer mentoring, to help students who are struggling.

August 14th is the first day of school and it is a minimum day. Dismissal is at 1:00pm. TK and Kindergarten classes will dismiss at 12:45 pm. After our first day of school, Wednesday shortened day dismissal will be 1:45 pm for TK/Kinder and 2:00 p.m. grades 1-6. Transitional Kindergarten (TK) will be dismissed 1 hour earlier than the regular time from August 14th to September 13, 2024.  This effort will provide our TK teachers with the opportunity to meet with individual parents and students to perform diagnostic assessments.  Beginning on Monday September 16th, TK will dismiss at its regular time of 2:45pm.

I am confident that we can make this a great school year for all of our students. Thank you for your support!
